Coffee Filter Jellyfish!

Coffee Filter Jellyfish!

To complete this project you will need:

  • Coffee Filters
  • Colouring pens
  • Glue/ selotape
  • Scissors
  • Ribbon and strips of coloured paper
  • A water spray bottle

The first thing to do is use your colouring pens to draw a pattern on one side of your coffee filter. You can use as many colours as you like, you can draw shapes, or lines or dots or anything you can imagine!

Once you have covered one side of your coffee filter, you need to spray it with water. This spreads the ink and makes a repeating pattern on the other side of the filter.

It also helps your jellyfish to look all watery and floaty!

Once it has been sprayed, dry your coffee filter in an open position- this will help give your coffee filter jellyfish its shape.

Now that it is dry, add your tentacles. Stick ribbons and curled paper inside your coffee filter. Cut them to different lengths to add more definition to your jellyfish.

Once its finished, hang it from the ceiling and enjoy!
